M2SYS Releases Bio-Pluginä for CITRIX Environment
Innovative Fingerprint Recognition Technology Facilitates Seamless Communication Between Client USB Device and Central Server Application
Atlanta, October 17, 2004 – M2SYS Technology, a global leader in biometrics research and development, today announced that it has released a version of its patent-pending Bio-Pluginä fingerprint recognition technology that can be utilized in a CITRIX application environment.
Using the novel solution, developers can integrate M2SYS' Bio-Pluginä with a central software application that is distributed to multiple workstations through the CITRIX metaframe server. Each workstation can then be equipped with a local, USB powered fingerprint sensor device that captures images from subjects. Once an image is captured, the plug-in extracts the unique fingerprint minutiae data and transmits this information over the CITRIX ICA channel to the central fingerprint processing server. The server, a component of Bio-Plugin, then executes a one-to-many identification mechanism and displays the result within the host application.
Two prominent software providers in differing industries have already adopted the CITRIX-enabled Bio-Pluginä. Their customers are utilizing the plug-in to process thousands of records on a daily basis with exceptional speed, ease-of-use and accuracy.
