Biometric Fingerprint Technology for Church Membership Management

Using Fingerprint Software to Eliminate ID Cards, Safeguard Members and Children, Prevent Identity Fraud, and Offer a More Convenient User Experience

Churches that use biometrics are saving money and improving security through the innovative use of our fingerprint software and fingerprint readers.
The Need to Replace Manual Membership Management

Running an efficient and secure membership-based organization like a church, synagogue, or mosque is nearly impossible without the use of advanced technology. Pen and paper membership management techniques have become entirely too cumbersome and inefficient. On top of that, the possibility of security breaches has left membership-based organizations searching for a safe and effective method to handle the management of sensitive member information.

Biometric technology has recently proven to be the most effective and affordable solution for the safe and orderly management of member information. Faith-based organizations are quickly becoming aware of the value of fingerprint recognition. A fingerprint system such as M2SYS' Bio-SnapON™ can easily interface into your existing management software, providing instant fingerprint scanning capabilities, eliminating the need for passwords, barcode readers, and identification cards.

The Benefits of Biometrics

With BioSnapON™, church staff can easily:

  • Identify members at check-in, instantly retrieving their picture and information from the management software.
  • Protect the safety of children by accurately identifying guardians.
  • Ensure that individuals are not fraudulently accessing church facilities.
  • Completely replace ID cards, which eradicates costs incurred due to lost or stolen cards.

 Without Bio-SnapON (the Manual Process)

The host application (such as time and attendance software) uses some kind of manual input mechanism with a unique credential to identify the user. In this case, the input mechanism is a user name and password. This mechanism could also be something like a barcode/magstripe ID card or PIN.

This process is not only inefficient, but also carries the risk that the credential could be easily lost or stolen.

 With Bio-SnapON (Using Fingerprint ID)

To replace the manual input mechanism with fingerprint identification:

1.  Install Bio-SnapON and have the user scan his/her fingerprint 3 times
consecutively.  The user's unique credential will be stored with the
     fingerprint template.

2.  After the user has been enrolled, he/she simply scans a single fingerprint
     to be identified.
3.  After a user's fingerprint is scanned, the Bio-SnapON engine matches the
print and sends the associated credential to the host software. The host
software then performs the appropriate action, such as clocking the user
     in or out.

:: Customer Success
"We asked our database vendor to look into adding a fingerprint component to our existing system, and I'm so glad we did! What has impressed us most is the speed. We added Bio-SnapON in no time, and now we use it to register 400-600 youth for services three times a week in a matter of minutes when it used to take much longer."
