TeraCorp’s Check Cashing Software, TeraCash™
The success of a check cashing business is often determined by the level of security the business employs when identifying individuals. Unfortunately, check fraud is a real issue that companies must acknowledge.
TeraCorp Enterprises Inc. specializes in providing a simplistic solution to check cashing software. Their
TeraCash™ check cashing software utilizes state of the art technology for increased security and ease of use. TeraCash™ now supports M2SYS’ biometric fingerprint solution,
Bio-Plugin™, to verify the identity of clients.
Bio-Plugin™ enables software companies to quickly integrate a complete, seamless fingerprint recognition system, including a high-performance 1:N identification engine. Bio-Plugin™ eliminates the system dependencies, extensive development, and specialized knowledge of biometric complexities inherent to
fingerprint SDKs.
Clients can be easily enrolled into the system by simply having their fingerprint scanned by the
M2-S™ fingerprint reader two or three times. After the initial enrollment process is complete, clients must only place their finger on the fingerprint reader once in order to be correctly identified.
Many unethical people will try to cash a check which has not been written to them. This liability can be detrimental to a check cashing company. Fingerprint recognition technology eliminates the possibility of an individual cashing a check which does not belong to them by associating a fingerprint signature with each account. M2SYS’ innovative biometric technology
does not save an actual image of the
fingerprint. Key points of a unique fingerprint are saved as a mathematical representation. This representation cannot be reconstructed into the fingerprint image. With this unique technology, fingerprint recognition can provide ultimate security without any risk of a possible breach.
Regardless of the security of the biometrics, having to provide an electronic fingerprint stops most of these unethical individuals from even trying to cash a check. The fingerprint scanning system also immediately recognizes repeat offenders and alerts the cashier that the individual has priorly committed check fraud.
Once a fingerprint is scanned, the customer’s information is instantly retrieved, including photos, history, and special notes or negative activity information.
Check cashing is made more efficient with the addition of a biometric module. Once a customer’s fingerprint has been scanned, the cashier must simply run the check. There is no need for other timely methods of identification.
Biometrics technology is on its way toward becoming the industry standard for identification verification and authentication. TeraCash™ integrated with M2SYS’ biometric recognition technology provides all the tools needed to run a successful and profitable business while eliminating the liabilities inherently associated with securely cashing checks.
