TimeCentre’s Time, Attendance, and Work Force Management Solution
Payroll is very often the highest expense that a company incurs. However, many companies do not monitor their payroll expenses as well as they should. Recent studies have shown that companies can lose up to 2.5 percent of their annual payroll expenses due to “buddy punching”. This is the act of one employee inappropriately clocking in or out for another. While this may have been hard to monitor in the past, TimeCentre has recently made it easier and more cost effective to closely monitor employees with the integration of M2SYS’ biometric software, Bio-Plugin™, into their Time and Attendance Solutions.

Bio-Plugin™ eliminates the system dependencies, extensive development, and specialized knowledge of biometric complexities inherent to fingerprint SDKs.

Their software has been employed in several different industries, including construction, education, hospitality, manufacturing, government, and staffing.
By offering a biometric solution within their time and attendance software and time clocks, TimeCentre has gone a step beyond the traditional means of attendance management. Employees or members can be enrolled in the system by simply having their fingerprint scanned by a fingerprint reader three times consecutively. After the initial enrollment process, individuals must only scan their fingerprint once to be recognized. The innovative M2SYS software never stores any fingerprint as an image, but rather as a unique set of data points that only M2SYS’ algorithm can reconstruct.
The fingerprinting technology completely eliminates the act of “buddy punching”. Traditional methods of “clocking in” include entering a PIN or password, or swiping an ID card. These methods can be exchanged between employees. With biometric identification, however, no employee can inappropriately clock in or out for any other, due to the fact that fingerprint data is unique to each individual and cannot be exchanged. The biometric system also eliminates the time lost and costs incurred by the loss of an ID card or the issuing of a new password to someone who has forgotten theirs. Because a fingerprint cannot be lost, forgotten, or a stolen, a biometric fingerprint solution provides security and reliability that is unmatched.
Employee accountability is also increased through the use of a fingerprint recognition system. Fingerprint readers can be placed at key areas within a location. Employers can then be assured of a specific employee’s location at any given time. This decreases acts of stealing or unethical behavior.
