Linus’ Suite of Point of Sale
Solutions, R-COM-X
In the fast-paced world of the restaurant business,
providing customers with an exceptional dining experience while efficiently
managing the business can be a difficult task to accomplish.
Most restaurants employ a POS software solution to establish a high
customer turnover rate and to maintain current and correct stock and
inventory records. Linus,
Inc. is a solution provider to thousands of customers in the retail,
wholesale, distribution, and food service industries throughout
North America
. Since 1986, Linus International, Inc. has developed and serviced their
expanding client base with unique tools and technologies to provide a
complete Point-of-Sale business solution.
Linus is dedicated to the provision of constantly
innovative products. Their POS
solution suite, R-COM-X,
has been integrated with M2SYS’ innovative Bio-Plugin™
technology to provide an amazing user experience that goes above and beyond
that of the basic POS solution.
M2SYS' fingerprint recognition solution enables
software companies like Linus to immediately integrate into their
applications a complete, enterprise-ready, scalable, seamless fingerprint
recognition system, including a high-performance 1:N identification engine.
Bio-Plugin™ eliminates the system dependencies, extensive development, and
specialized knowledge of biometric complexities inherent to development with
a traditional fingerprint SDK.
With biometric technology, R-COM-X can eliminate the process of
“buddy punching”, or employees inappropriately clocking in and out for
one another. Recent studies have
shown that companies can save up to 2.5% of their gross payroll annually by
simply implementing a biometrics solution.
Employees can clock in and out by placing their finger on the M2-S™
optical fingerprint reader. The
reader scans the fingerprint and immediately recognizes the identity of the
user and whether they should be granted access to certain secured areas in
the POS system. Fingerprint identification has a direct, positive impact on
the bottom line and holds employees more accountable for their actions.
Inventory is easily tracked and managed by the
automated system and because each employee is held accountable for their
actions, lower instances of employee theft or missing inventory have been
reported.
Orders can be placed more swiftly because no employee ID number must
be remembered and entered. A
simple scan of the finger will bring up the POS screen display where orders
can be placed or edited. This
boost in efficiency can increase customer turnover which ultimately raises
profits.
Constantly improving customer service is the goal of
any successful company, and with the implementation of a biometrically
enabled POS solution, this goal can be achieved.
Other benefits include reduced costs and increased employee
productivity. Bio-Plugin™
technology is available in Linus' R-COM-X solution suite including point of
sale applications for fine-dining restaurants, quick-service
restaurants, online
ordering, and supermarkets.
