CSI Software’s Membership
Management Software, Spectrum™
Running an efficient and profitable membership-related
operation is nearly impossible without the use of advanced technology.
Pen and paper management has become entirely too cumbersome and
inefficient. Membership
management software has recently proven to be effective for the orderly
management of member’s information.
In the health and fitness market, many members must be correctly identified
and managed every day. CSI
Software was incorporated in 1978 and began writing health and fitness
related programs that enable clubs to keep track of their memberships and
facility usage, make payments via EFT or credit card, and provide touch
screen point-of-sale systems for food and beverage sales. Other programs
allow clubs to schedule classes and sell services, track commissions for
employees, and to manage accounts payable, inventory, and general ledgers.
CSI Software has gone a step above traditional health club membership
management solutions by integrating M2SYS’ innovative Bio-Plugin™
fingerprint recognition solution into its Spectrum™ membership management
software. Bio-Plugin™ enables
software companies to adopt a complete, seamless fingerprint recognition
system, including a robust 1:N identification engine, within hours and
without the system dependencies, extensive development, and specialized
knowledge inherent to fingerprint
SDKS.
Relieving these burdens enables software companies to remain focused
on supporting their core product.
Fitness clubs that utilize this cutting-edge biometrically-enabled
management solution can provide their members with the ultimate ease in
their workout experience. Members
are enrolled in the system by simply placing one or two of their fingers on
the M2-S™ fingerprint reader. Once their finger has been scanned, specific
member information can be entered. Members
that visit the health club can enter by simply scanning their fingerprint.
No burdensome ID cards must be carried throughout the workout or
secured in a locker. The M2-S™
optical, USB fingerprint reader is engineered for use in high throughput
environments where reliability and ruggedness are critical success factors,
consistently providing the high-quality images necessary for accurate
fingerprint identification. Once
identified, membership information, visit history, and deposit information
can be displayed.
Members can also enjoy the complete security that
biometric technology provides. Deposits
can be made into member accounts to easily purchase food, drink, or retail
items. Because a fingerprint
cannot be lost as an ID card can easily be, members can be assured that
money deposited into their account can be accessed by their fingerprint
alone. Members often deposit
more funds into their account when comforted by the security of fingerprint
recognition technology. Health
clubs benefit from the increase in revenue that is a direct result of this
surge in account deposits.
This success has been seen in MVP
Sportsplex, a $17
million, 96,000 square foot facility located on 10 acres in
Grand Rapids
,
MI
, which distributes the Spectrum™ software to multiple workstations
through a CITRIX metaframe server, and in a growing number of health clubs
and universities throughout the
US
. By integrating seamless
fingerprint technology, CSI was able to add immediate value to its
membership management software from which any health club can benefit.
