ImageWare had this same functionality 5 years ago with their Biometric Engine

Thanks for the message Pete, we are aware of ImageWare’s product but it is not the same as Hybrid Biometric Platform from M2SYS.  Our technology is based on our Bio-Plugin architecture which makes our Integrators oblivious of the biometric technology and the modalities. Our Integrators or any of their end-users can swap-out different modalities without any programming or developer’s intervention. This is a true black-box enterprise grade application engine that enables companies of any-size harness the power of biometrics without ever knowing anything about it. Our system also allows the same integrator’s software module using different forms of biometric simultaneously without even small configuration changes.  Imageware built a platform to address any kind of government RFQ requirements while our platform addressed making biometric ubiquitous in our everyday life.

        Hi John,
I was director of engineering at ImageWare until January of this year when I jumped off to start my own biometrics business.  I designed and wrote much of their next generation biometric engine that is just starting to come out.  Actually their Biometric Engine sounds very similar.  They have an interface that abstracts algorithms for different modalities.  You can even do the same modality with different algorithms.  Everything is tied together with an xml config file that defines which modalities go to which BE servers, if you want those modalities striped or mirrored, etc.  They have really good tech, but they stink at sales, marketing and promotion.
