Securing Bank's Safe Deposit Boxes

Every year there are human errors or lapse of security like identity theft while trying to provide a client with their safety deposit box in a bank. Due to identity theft, unauthorized people have been given access to certain deposit boxes. According to the Federal Trade Commission survey found that over 9 million people had fallen victim to identity theft in 2002.

Financial institutes are very serious about their security and customer service given to their clients. We provide the best solution to these banks by eliminating identity theft, human error and security breach, by providing our state of the art product Biometric software called Bio-Tracker. Biometric software or fingerprint software are more accepted by public today and is used widely in law enforcement, defense, clinics, security facilities, gyms etc.

Currently, safe deposit boxes work in a simple arrangement, where a renter pays the bank a monthly or yearly fee for the use of a specific box, which can only be opened with an assigned key and the bank's master key and finally ends with the formality of a proper signature, or perhaps a code of some sort.

So why do we feel that deposits boxes are the safest place in the world to keep our valuable possessions? Is it because the box is completely surrounded by bank employees or is it because no one can steal the assigned key from us or no one can copy our signature? The funny thing if someone really wants to, can alter anyone of these systems. Then wouldn’t it be a good idea to have an extra added security system like biometric software to identify a client?

The safety box might be the safest place to keep most valuable documents and items and it might protect it from all kinds of identity fraudulent, lack of security and/or accidents. And to make it the safest place for valuable possessions if Biometric software is used, wouldn’t be a bad idea. Definitely, there are flaws to such procedures, possible of identity theft, human error, no proper supervision and lapse of security. One of our employee’s, who is a client of a very prestigious bank, visited the bank to check his safety deposit box after a year. Initially, he assumed to receive his deposit box there would be a lot of security checks and documents to fill up. But later to find out the bank, just needed to find out whether he had an account with the bank and his name was on the list and finally needed a signature. As you can see the procedure was simple and a possible opportunity for criminals to do identity theft, create forge documents to access unauthorized boxes and breach security.

Our Bio-Tracker is biometric identity management software or in other word biometric software; it stores digital image and fingerprint data of a specific account holder. When an account holder visits a bank to access his/her safe deposit box, is asked by our Biometric Software to swipe their finger on a fingerprint reader. The bank will only allow the client to access their safety box, if the Biometric Software recognizes the fingerprint stored in their database with the client’s fingerprint scanned. With the Biometric software, it will provide no opportunity for unauthorized people to access other people’s safety boxes and the same time the banks will provide added customer service.
