Fingerprint Technology for YMCA® Time and Attendance
Golden State YMCA provides after-school programs to children of all ages in and around Visalia, Corcoran and Woodlake, California.

CHALLENGE:
Children arriving to attend one of the YMCA's after-school programs were required to stand in line to physically sign-in before taking part in any of the day's events. With as many as 200 children standing in line on some afternoons, it was taking up to 45 minutes for the children to sign-in and significantly reducing the quality time allocated for planned activities.

SOLUTION:
Installing Bio-TimeClock at all locations that provide after- school programs.

BENEFITS:
The implementation of Bio-TimeClock has resulted in a significant reduction in average wait times, from over 45 minutes to less than 15 minutes. In addition, it has automated the process for tracking time and attendance, allowing the YMCA staff to closely monitor what programs are being attended, when children check-in and check-out, and how often they attend. This information empowers the director to make better programming decisions, and allows him to confidently predict attendance for future programs as well as provide accurate data to the California Department of Education for funding approval.
