Four Corners Medical Software LLC is a leading developer of patient management software that licenses its product to the Gnosis Medical Project, a non-profit group that provides technology solutions to clinics throughout Guatemala and Central America.

CHALLENGE:
In developing countries throughout the world, medical personnel have a difficult time verifying the identification and tracking the progress of their patients. Many of these patients share common names, do not carry ID cards, and may not even know their date of birth. Despite providing The Gnosis Project with state-of-theart management software, Four Corners was finding it increasingly difficult to track and manage patients' records without being able to establish a unique identifier for each individual.

SOLUTION:
Integrating Bio-Plugin with Four Corners' existing membership management software solution.

BENEFITS:
By implementing the Bio-PlugIn solution, the Project is now able to seamlessly track patients and disease patterns throughout their clinics in the Guatemala region. Although initially concerned about the indigenous population's response to using a system they typically associated with processing criminals, the staff soon discovered that patients were not only receptive to using the fingerprint system, they found it less intimidating than having their photograph taken! Now the staff can even use mobile systems combined with award-winning Bio-Plugin fingerprint technology to deliver medical services“on the go” while still protecting patient confidentiality and improving the overall quality of care.
