M2SYS Sales & Marketing Corner August Topic: Overcoming A Common Objection
Whatever your marketing and sales needs are, M2SYS is here to provide the highest level of collaborative support.
Starting this month, we will begin a series of tips that can help you better market and sell the M2SYS fingerprint solution. This month, we'll address one of the more common objections that arise when discussing biometric technology:
"I'm concerned about protecting my employees/members/customers identities and how the implementation of a fingerprint system could expose them to identity theft and fraud."
Here is how to overcome this objection:
- Optical images of fingerprints are not stored in the database.
- The optical image, once captured, is immediately destroyed after it is converted to a binary template file.
- This file is proprietary and unique to each individual application. It cannot be used by an outside application, nor can the data be manipulated to recreate a fingerprint image.
One final point on this issue: It would be much easier for someone to lift your fingerprint from the soda can you just threw into the recycling bin than extract the binary template file from the application database and reverse-engineer it into an image. We hope this helps! Please contact Ches Eaton, Marketing Specialist, at (770) 393-0986 ext. 30 or via email at ches@m2sys.com if you need more marketing and sales ideas.
